BUILDING INFORMATION.
 
 
 
The Domestic Information Pack is a list of documents that can assist you in your next domestic building approval. The information contained within this document is very comprehensive, and can be used to suit ALL types of domestic applications. From extension/renovation work, to sheds, to swimming pools, to single or multiple dwellings. Please follow the instructions contained within these documents.
 
 
  
The Acacia Building Approvals (ABA) Notice of Engagement is the 'formal' document that MUST be completed to engage Acacia Building Approvals for your building project. Once this document has been accepted by us and your invoice paid, a Notice of Engagement is issued to the local authority and the applicant advising them that Acacia Building Approvals have been engaged to certifiy the building work on your site.
 
 
DA Form 2 is to be completed for ALL building works regardless of the class of building work.
 
If Building work is Code or Impact Assessable works, then DA Form 1 must also be completed. This information is vital for Acacia Building Approvals to accurately assess your building application. Furthermore, Acacia Building Approvals is unable to process the building application until these mandatory documents have been returned FULLY completed. 
 
 
The Energy Efficiency Requirements document is required to be completed where a domestic building approval is being applied for. This information is vital for Acacia Building Approvals to accurately assess your building application.
 
Energy Efficiency assessments are a very specialised area and therefore we will require an accurate assessment by industry specialists.

The Termite system requirements document is required to be completed where a domestic building approval is being applied for. This information is vital for Acacia Building Approvals to accurately assess your building application.
 
 
The Re-roof Requirements document is to be completed where ONLY a re-roof is to be undertaken.
 
 
 
Queensland Building Services Authority's (BSA's) Home Warranty Scheme is a statutory insurance scheme that cover's the 'Residential Building Work' (as defined under the QBSA Act 1991) over the value of $3,300.00 for a period of 6 years and 6 months from the time of signing the contract or the date of which the premium was paid, whichever is sooner.
 
ONLY BSA licensed contractors can pay this premium, and by law it MUST be paid. Furthermore, Acacia Building Approvals is unable to release the building application until proof of payment is shown to in the form of a copy of the Insurance Pemium. 
 
 
The Portable Long Servcie Leave Levy is a fee payable on all building and construction work over the value of $80,000.00. Furthermore, Acacia Building Approvals is unable to release the building application until proof of payment is shown to in the form of a receipt. 
 
  
Final Inspection Checklist
 
The Final Inspection Checklist is a document used for checking the required list of certificates needed by Acacia Building Approvals PRIOR to the Form 21 (Final) being issued. It should be noted that some of these certificates can be obtained during the course of the construction, and issued to us at any time.
